Hello, I have just committed code to allow ggb to store settings in a file instead of in the System Preferences system.
The commandline option: --settingsFile=<path to settings file>
If it is useful for this project please try it and tell me if somthing doesn't work.

The geogebra creator script is ready, now I'm in testing phase. It uses an ubuntu-9.10 iso, unpacks the iso, unpacks the root file-system, copies the needed files in the file-system (sources.list, GeoGebra customized boot and splash and background images) chroots in the file-system, removes openoffice.org, gimp, and evolution (to make place) and installs sun-java6-jre and sun-java6-plugin (accepts the licence automatically) and after that installs the new geogebra.deb that holds the new jars. After it repacks the file-system and the iso, and it is ready (for the cd). For the usb the simplest option to use unetbootin, and the downloaded image can be written on an usb stick. This tool can be used in windows and linux too. It can be more customized, however. It can be included in a script, so such a way the three versions (Mac, Win, Lin) can be also copied in the stick (2gb in size it must be because of the three versions more than 370MB - the runtime environments). However it an opinion must be, not an only solution, because such a way more than 1Gb will be the downloaded size, while the cd iso itself only 650MB. So we agreed with Zoltan that we will provide all of the possible options for the users. (CD, simple USB, usb and versions, and it can be cd and versions in a dvd too).
